As much as I love the Dresden Dolls and their very unique brand of piano-driven punk cabaret, I have to hand it to Amanda Palmer (half of the Dresden Dolls duo) for her solo efforts, which keep the idiosyncratic charm while managing to forge into territories not quite right for the band. To date, Amanda has released two solo albums. This song is from her first (and in my opinion, vastly superior) album, Who Killed Amanda Palmer. It’s very lyrically driven, and almost unrelenting in how it comes at you full force.
